Ductile Iron Piles Featured at GEOQuebec 2015
DuroTerra’s Regional Partner, GeoSolv Design/Build, recently exhibited at GEOQuebec 2015, the 68th Canadian Geotechnical Conference taking place September 20-23, 2015 in Quebec City. This year’s theme was Challenges from North to South, reflecting the diversity of complex challenges that the geotechnical community need to address to support sustainable economic development.
Mark Tigchelaar P.Eng. of GeoSolv Design/Build presented “Innovative Deep Foundation Support Using Ductile Iron Piles” on the third day of conference. The presentation covered key points discussed in the published paper, including the construction, design and quality control details of Ductile Iron Piles, an innovative low vibration piling system used in Europe for decades. A number of successful installations in North America were also discussed.
